Executive Council: Director of New Programs

Johanna is Head of Healthcare and Life Sciences Capital Markets at NYSE Group, part of Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. In this role, she advises healthcare and life sciences companies, private equity and venture capital firms, and investment banks on IPO readiness, capital markets strategy, and listing venue selection. Previously, she served as Head of Healthcare at GLG, where she led the U.S. healthcare practice. Johanna holds a PhD and MS in Organic Chemistry from Yale University and a BS in Chemistry from Florida International University.

Jeff Raphael is Executive Director of BLOC and Founder and Managing Partner of OmniScope Partners, a life sciences strategic advisory firm. A seasoned life sciences executive and dealmaker, Jeff has advised on more than 50 transactions representing over $15 billion in aggregate value across M&A, licensing and financing. He has supported BLOC since its earliest days and brings extensive experience building strategic partnerships and professional networks across the life sciences ecosystem.
